The Festival of Colours is a cultural event celebrating the oneness of human spirit, and is based upon an ancient festival which finds its origins in India. The God of play, Krishna, would engage in the throwing of coloured powders with His cowherd friends. The festival signifies the blooming of colours which manifest with the arrival of autumn and spring. In order to celebrate peace and harmony between humanity and nature, the members of Hare Krishna Valley are staging this festival for the community of the Surf Coast Shire and beyond. This event provides an opportunity for the broader community to join them in the celebration of a time honored festival.
On site parking is $10 per car. Coloured powder is $5-$10 per person. Food is $5-$10 per person. This event is alcohol, drug, smoking, anger and meat free!
Look forward to seeing you all in the clouds of colour on the day!
