“RECONCILIATION IN THE PARK”
The cold weather did not deter hundreds of people from attending the celebration of indigenous culture at the Geelong Performing Arts Centre on Sunday, June 2, 2019.
Geelong Interfaith Network members attended the event and enjoyed the music, bush tucker, jewellery making, and story telling.
A very popular feature of the event was the painting of boomerangs. One of our members assisted children in the preparation of the boomerangs for artistic design and paint work.
There was a stall where people had the opportunity to have various forms of treaty explained to them. The atmosphere was one of welcome, information and celebration.
